Come join Jim Reinis BA'75 and the LA Chapter for the 19th Annual CWRU Hollywood Bowl Event - The L.A. philharmonic with special guests Lang Lang and Herbie Hancock.
From vastly different musical worlds, two undisputed titans of the keyboard – Herbie Hancock and Lang Lang – will meet on the Hollywood Bowl stage for a night of explosive pianistic pyrotechnics not to be missed! Hancock and Lang Lang collaborated last year during a live performance at the 50th annual Grammy Awards Los Angeles. Hancock went on to win album of the year for "River: The Joni Letters."
Heralded as the “hottest artist on the classical music planet” by the New York Times, 26-year-old Lang Lang has played sold out recitals and concerts in every major city in the world. Lang Lang performed live at the opening ceremonies of the 2008 Summer Olympic Games before a television audience of over 5 billion people.
